Volunteer Music Staff
The leadership of our music ministry at MVPC is comprised mostly of volunteer, amateur musicians. We are very blessed to have so many talented and capable individuals who offer their many gifts to help us create a diverse and vibrant music program.
Barb Clure
Barb is a physician who not only sings and plays the guitar beautifully, but is filled with the Spirit of love and peace and brings harmony and accord to our music ministry.
Bob Mitchell
Bob organizes and directs rehearsals for the Chimes Choir, providing a wonderful alternative for those who cannot participate in the choir but who want to participate in the music program in another capacity.
Deedee Waldron
Besides singing many solos, duets, etc...Deedee is our volunteer Music Librarian and does a phenomenal job of orgazing and keeping our music library in great shape.
Iva Rauch
Iva uses the multi-talents the Lord has given her in a myriad of ways in the church, and we are blessed that many of her talents are in the field of music. She expertly plays the piano, the organ, the violin, and sings like a canary!! A very well-trained one at that!
Joanne Thomas
Joanne has recently unearthed her flute and trumpet, and is creating an uproar with her playing! We are so glad she decided to re-awaken her passion for praising God through music.
Laura Stewart
Laura is one of the oldest members of our praise team, and her knowledge and experience, matched by her passion and love of singing, are a great benefit and blessing to our music program. Laura is known for occasionally joining the Chancel Choir as a soloist on a rowdy gospel tune!
Lou Cheney
Lou faithfully blesses us with her violin playing every Sunday morning, adding a beautiful touch to our praise team.
Mackenzie Fox
Mackenzy is a talented young singer with a beautiful, pure voice. Mackenzy attends Mount Vernon High School.
Matt Ray
Matt is a banker who plays the drumset for our praise team, and is usually joined by his daughter-apprentice Anna, who loves to play the egg-shaker, and his other daugher Allysson, who loves to sing.
Ruth Haines, Children's Choir Director & More...
Ruth is a retired chemistry teacher. She has been actively involved in the Music Ministry at MVPRES for a few years now. She can be seen directing the children's choir, playing the piano and the organ in the Sanctuary, playing the flute or singing along with the Chancel Choir & Glorify! When she is not blessing us with her music, she may be found hunting the landscapes for exotic mushrooms!
