Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church

The Chancel Choir is an integral part of our integrated worship service.  The Choir's repertoire ranges from classical to gospel and all in between.  The choir sings from September to June and and is off in the summer months.  It also provides special music for the various phases of the Liturgical year, with emphasis on Easter and Christmas.  The CC sometimes will also give an year-end concert. 

 

Our members are all extremely dedicated individuals who are open-hearted, generous, and fun-loving.  They are not afraid to pull their sleeves up and put in a few hours of hard work fixing and re-decorating a choir room for instance, or making choir stoles when necessary, or donating money to purchase music and choir folders.  They most of all love to sing, and their devotion is quite apparent through their weekly contribution to the music life of the church.
 

Rehearsal Schedule- The Chancel Choir rehearses under the direction of Denice Grant every wednesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00.  It meets on Sundays from 9:00-9:15 for warm-up.
