CARE PALS
As a result of the special time she spent with a friend who was dying of cancer, Linda Ream realized there was a need for those who are confined to long term care – and she felt called to do something. Her loving concern resulted in a new ministry which we call Care Pals. The goal is to provide a friendly connection to those in care homes – to become a friend to someone who needs a friend.
It has evolved into an interactive program working with as many as 20 residents to do crafts. Special friendships are made. Care Pals has grown into a team – and now others, including her husband have joined Linda in this work. Their impact on the care home where they volunteer is tremendous. This is a ministry that offers many blessings to those who are involved. Even young children can be a Care Pal…our youngest were 4 and 6 years old.
