Mission Outreach

Friendship House: MVPC has a close relationship with this facility that provides shelter and nourishment to men, women and families in transition. We serve a meal each month at Friendship House as well as respond to other needs.

Operation Christmas Child: A highlight of the year is the collection of numerous shoeboxes full of gifts for children around the world. The goal this year is to surpass 100 boxes from MVPC!

The Run to End Hunger : Begun in 2002 as part of MVPC’s centennial celebration this popular event includes a free blueberry pancake breakfast, live music on the church lawn, and of course, the race itself. The course is a flat route that starts and finishes at the church. All proceeds from the event benefit Church World Service’s hunger ministries.

Mission Trips: MVPC has been involved with many projects in recent years. Habitat for Humanity calls upon MVPC to add siding to new houses in Skagit Valley. Trips have also been made to serve the Union Gospel Mission in Seattle. Please contact the church office, for information on how you can be a part of this great ministry.
